A Good Home

I got a new (used) guitar the other day, a Squier Cyclone. It's basically a combination of a Jaguar, a Mustang and a Stratocaster. I bought it online from a guitar store in Modesto, California. It's pretty bad ass. It sounds and plays great, and I'm a sucker for an instrument with multiple switches, even if they are easy to accidentally hit while I'm strumming.

Thanks to the previous owner for upgrading everything. This was clearly somebody's project guitar, and I appreciate/respect the thought and the effort that went into it. These pickups sound amazing, and the tuners are solid. The added push/pull switch to split the humbucker is a nice touch, too.

If you happen to be the former owner, know that I've given it a good home where it gets plenty of practice. It's a powerful instrument, and I promise to use it for good, never evil.

Obrigado

Lately, it seems that I have had a lot of listeners in Brazil, where I have never been but would love to visit. To you, I say:

Obrigado por ouvir minha musica.

Thank you to all of my other listeners and fans throughout the world as well. I have no idea how you found my music, but I am happy that you did.

A Common Good

We are social animals with things to learn and things to teach.

Here are some songs I wrote about the virtues of civilization:

Be Civilized (from Better Days):

These selections that I have posted in recent weeks are linked by common ideas. There are more of each, and you might notice some overlapping themes in my collective work.

I hope that you enjoy listening to my music as much as I enjoy making it.

If you dig my songs, then I encourage you to share them.
