Light Pollution

Light years away
Through time and space
Even the closest star
Is impossibly far
Away from me
I can hardly see
These restless city lights
Always up all night
But nobody ever asked why

See beyond the light pollution
The cause of so much confusion
An elaborate illusion
There are no foregone conclusions

The neon signs
They never lie
Remind you what's familiar
And kind of sort of similar
Like on the screen
And everywhere in between
So never mind your horoscope
Go and find a telescope
Because truth is a kaleidoscope

See beyond the light pollution
The cause of so much confusion
An elaborate illusion
There are no foregone conclusions

Ideology
Is a thing unseen
But it shapes your worldview
I guess the rest is up to you
Don't need to compete
To feel complete
Always keeping score
Open your mind and door
Think your way through the metaphor

See beyond the light pollution
The cause of so much confusion
An elaborate illusion
There are no foregone conclusions
