Entropy

Society is being atomized
It's happening right before our eyes
There are people in the street
Walking around on dirty feet with nothing to eat
Sometimes I don't know how we sleep...
Spend a night in the hospital
You think you're sick, wait until you see the bill
There's no faster way to poverty
Than a medical emergency
But it doesn't have to be...
We can do better than this, I know we can
Unclench your fists and lend a hand
In this state of entropy, empathy is everything
In someone else's shoes, would you choose the same?
Education is a mess
When students only learn it for the test
So tell me who's the fool
When we underfund our schools
You know, it might just be you...
If you want a good job, you have to go to college
Where you fill your head with expensive knowledge
Then they shackle you to debt
And you might start to regret that you went
Where's all that money that you spent?
We can do better than this, I know we can
Unclench your fists and lend a hand
In this state of entropy, empathy is everything
In someone else's shoes, would you choose the same?
The "president" is a criminal
But it's just business, as usual
There is more than meets the eye
Seized by the FBI
I just hope that we survive...
A nation's as strong as its citizens
This time, let's hope that the good guys win
No corruption in our government
Or entertainment presidents
I hope we learn from precedent...
That we can do better than this, I know we can
Unclench your fists and lend a hand
In this state of entropy, empathy is everything
In someone else's shoes, would you do the same?
